Given the reports of snow coming out atm, I though I’d dig up an old photograph to show you all AUSTRALIA CAN HAVE SNOW (it just doesn’t stay around for long).

So, if you want to see what’s going on in the world of snow in australia, try these on for size:
NSW
- Thredbo - best in Australia for village atmosphere
- Perisher Blue - Biggest resort, heaps of lifts
- Charlotte Pass - boutique, expensive, oversnow in, but great once you’re there
- Selwyn - the family skifield
Victoria
- Falls Creek (50cm base RIGHT NOW!)
- Mt Hotham - and pics from the 2003 UNSW Ski + Board Club Trip
- Mt Buller - a little like Selwyn
- Mt Paw Paw - tiny one
- Mt Beauty - another tiny one
- Mt Buffalo - another small one, famous for a music festival in summer, chalet’s nice
- Lake Mountain (never heard of it)
Tasmania
- Ben Lomond - small
- Mt Mawson - tiny, operated by volunteers
Next year i’ll hopefully be hitting new zealand up… Camera in hand
