Been in Berlin a little over 24hrs now and am staying at the location suggested to me by both Lonely Planet and Foster - the Circus Hostel in East Berlin. Best choice ever! Great little hostel and am enjoying it immensely. Today spent the day on a walking tour of the city for eight or so hours, seeing many of the sights by foot that I’d like to visit properly.

Circus Hostel in East Berlin - wonderful spot, very central and good walking distances (and good public transport access). As I said before, have (and keep having) a great time!
Cheers stephen - it’s definitely a great location. Today went to Topography of Terror outside exhibit, a tour of a couple of bunkers and finally an evening visit to the Reichstag. Really wish I could post some pics - great photos from here and Amsterdam!

I just wish I could see any of your photos. Newmont’s net censoring software doesn’t allow any photos on your blog to be loaded and blocks the Flickr website completely, stating:
“Access to this web page is restricted at this time. Reason: The category “Personal Network Storage and Backup” is filtered.” And now they’re also blocking my cgi-proxy! Frustrating!
So I’ll have to see your Euro photos when you get back and when I’m over in Sydney.

Re: the beers… They started flowing after I got out of Paris and over sickness. Nights = dinner beers more beers so don’t think that they’re not happening. You just need to follow the aussie accents to the bar(s)
