Energy 21C - Energy Delivery Solutions for the 21st Century From Sunday the 11th November through to Wednesday the 14th I attended the Energy 21C Conference at Darling Harbour through my work with EnergyAustralia. With the tagline Energy Delivery Solutions for the 21st Century the conference was probably never going to inspire those outside of the industry too much, but the topics covered inside will undoubtedly have the potential to impact anyone connected to mains electricity or gas in Australia, and quite possible the greater Asia-Pacific region. The money shot: Mr Xavier Rudd commanding the stage at the Enmore Theatre Xavier Rudd is touring around Australia at the moment as part of his worldwide White Moth tour, bring Canandian Jeremy Fisher with him as support. The gig definitely didn't disappoint. Jeremy Fisher came on at about 8pm for a half hour set, playing a bunch of blues inspired love ballads. He had some great ideas for the gents about wooing the ladies - aim low, that way you can only get better with age, don't be that guy who "isn't who the girl married" due to him getting worse ...

Busting it up on the Dance Floor! Last weekend I headed up to Newcastle to catch up with my colleagues in Network Earthing/Safearth at EnergyAustralia for a private function that they were holding to celebrate twenty five years the earthing group. Was great to catch up with people, enjoy a few beverages, realise how much I miss the place, grab a coffee + bacon and eggs for breakfast at my old favourite cafe (Goldbergs on Darby Street), pick up some more of the junk I'd left up there (my bike's down in Sydney now - big plus there!) and finally grab ...

The crowd awaits the on stage arrival of Gotye during Sounds in the Grounds downstairs at Manning Bar, University of Sydney I was invited by The Dwarf to shoot Sounds in the Grounds at Manning Bar in the grounds of the University of Sydney. The event had a fairly packed line up of Australian artists, with a token New Zealand group in the shape of Salmonella Dub. The Aussies included Gotye, Wolf & Cub, Urthboy, I Heart Hiroshima, Bluejuice, The Basics and The Tongue. I'd had the opportunity to shoot Bluejuice just the week before when they performed as support for Butterfingers ...

A minor update to fix a few bugs associated with my event manager. The original plugin has also been split into two - one taking care of the front end and the other the backend. Both are necessary to run the event manager.
