Part of my new roll…distribution monitoring!
So another new phase in my life has come about with the start of March. Last year I ended up moving to Newcastle for six months as part of the graduate engineering program, this year it’s into the city and taking up a permanent position at EnergyAustralia.

Sharon Jones + The Dap-Kings kicking it old school style at Enmore Theatre
James contacted me a while back for the powerhouse of soul that is Sharon Jones and her backing band The Dap-Kings for a midweek gig at the Enmore Theatre. This was definitely not one to miss. Support was from the Australian Meem.
Also shooting was Ash and a couple of others, including one press shooter with a massive 600mm lens!

DRAMAC’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream
I was called upon by mate Jeremy Curran to shoot a production that he was in by Macquarie University’s drama society - DRAMAC. The performance was of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, last night tonight I think. Unlike previous performances I was able to shoot the dress rehearsal of this one - and it was far better to do it this way. I could move amongst the cast and get the shots I wanted.

The world famous Drop Bear was in attendance at Taronga Zoo when we visited while Nick and Mel were out to celebrate their engagement with the Australian contingent (Nick’s from Sydney, Mel from Colorado).
Who said it didn’t exist!
