Cypress Hill: I got the jump shot! My first time shooting the hip hop legends of the 90's Cypress Hill at a sideshow for the Good Vibrations music festivals as they tour Australia. Was an interesting experience being squished in with about a dozen photographers in a pit that is full with half that amount. The Kiwi Brothers + 1 token white guy of Kora hit Sydney Festival Catching up on the last month of photography. Kiwi band Kora hit Australia to play with the Sydney Festival this year. Performing at Becks Bar, located at the Hyde Park Barracks Museum at the northern end of Hyde Park in the city, I was given an access all areas pass by James Browning (working for Sydney Festival, but also the man behind Niche Productions) and a couple of tickets - shooting the event for InTheMix. Blackalicious at the Forum in Sydney Got a late call up from Angus at InTheMix.com.au to shoot this gig. Was a lot of fun - was there with fellow Sydney shooter Anthony Yong, and also Perth photographer Anthony T came along to spectate, so was nice to meet him in person. The night was pretty fun, and well worth attending. QBert's an absolute king of the decks, People Under The Stairs were pretty fun - and Blackalicious weren't too bad either. Continue Reading...
