Upgrading the Baby technology | (8)
So it is with a tinge of regret that I am handing over my baby of the last two years to my sister (after a trip to France with a friend for a conference). The iBook that has served me well is being retired from my service. I must say I only have praise for the little device that has been at my side for the past 23 months. I have used it to develop a few web sites, written my thesis, updated a school site and kept my photos relatively in order. But now it is time to upgrade ...

Ok, so I've made the plunge. I've ordered my Ruby and Ruby on Rails books and stared at the blackbook. I've spent the night compiling from the source Ruby, Rails and Subversion. It's all in the planning phase of "the project" that myself and stu are undertaking. Needless to say, we can't really go into details as to what exactly it entails, but it's going to be fun - and potentially tasty. So what have I done...
