Midnight Juggernauts finish a mammoth set at The Cambridge Hotel in Newcastle For my second last gig with I'm With The Band in Newcastle I was given the opportunity to shoot Midnight Juggernauts when they hit Newcastle to play to a packed audience at The Cambridge Hotel. Although the original line up included Canberra's Young + Restless they were replaced by Sydney's The Paper Scissors who played first. Also in the support line up was Melbourne's Damn Arms who played a great set. A Blood Red Moon Spent Tuesday night at Bar Beach shooting the lunar eclispe. Got there around 6:30 and left at around 8:10 (I was starving and needed food - started having the shakes >< ). Will definitely be throwing some more up shortly too.

Still shooting pedals for a book I'm putting together at the end of the year - this would be One Good Suggestion Heat 4 of the Newcastle band competition Resonate held at The Brewery on Newcastle's waterfront for Newcastle Music Week. Bands in the competition were: One Good Suggestion Valerie Chain Veto Castro! One Good Suggestion Valerie Chain Veto Castro! The Winner The winner on the night was Veto. The Beautiful Girls touring to launch their new album Ziggurats Touring Australia at the moment are The Beautiful Girls, with Australian blues singer-songwriter C.W.Stoneking in tow. TBG have definitely "hardened up" a little from their previous albums, going for a more rocky-reggae sound in most of the tracks. There is still a few older style blues and roots sounds to keep most people happy. Gig wise, it was interesting.
